Amnesia Haze Auto: Amnesia and ruderalis come together in a fast-growing version of a very popular strain

Amnesia Haze, first bred in Holland in the 1990s by Hy-Pro Seeds under the name ‘Amnesia’, has gone by many different names over the years. Whether you know her as the original Amnesia, Amnesia Haze, Champagne Haze, The Bomb, Ultra Haze or by any other name, one thing we can all agree on is the sheer potency of this sativa-dominant strain.

The biggest downside of sativas like Amnesia is their long flowering times. On average, it’s around 11 – 12 weeks, but some phenotypes can take as long as 20 weeks to finish flowering! This is too long for most home growers. Furthermore, it is a plant that can grow quite tall, another drawback that indoor growers in particular cannot handle.

Here comes Amnesia Haze Automatic to solve these problems. Offering the same euphoric effects and spicy, sweet flavours as the original Amnesia, but with a much shorter growth time and height, this autoflowering strain can be grown by both beginners and experts.

The Biggest Autoflowering Strain?

Indoors, it takes around 80-85 days to complete its life cycle, from seed to harvest. During this time, it can grow quite large for an autoflower, reaching heights of between 50–100cm. This size is a clear indication of its sativa genetics: tall plants, large, thin leaves and elongated buds.

Much like the original Amnesia, Amnesia Haze Auto grows vigorously and offers generous yields of top-shelf Haze flowers. She’ll produce up to 180g/plant outdoors and 400g/m² indoors, which is a much higher yield than many other autos. She likes to be fed well, but be careful not to overfeed as Haze strains tend to be increasingly sensitive to nutrients.

Amnesia Haze Automatic’s long, foxtail-like buds exude earthy, citrusy aromas that only get better once they’ve been properly cured. In essence, she offers the classic Amnesia aroma, flavour and effect, but is much easier for the average home grower to grow.
